What is a minibang?

A MiniBang is an event that pairs artists and writers together to create content for a specific series or theme. The WHA MiniBang centers around the manga series Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama. A "Mini" Bang differs from a "Big" Bang in the length of the work created! In a "Big" Bang a writer typically constructs a 10,000 word fic, whereas in a typical "Mini" Bang a writer constructs a 5,000 word fic. For this particular version of the MiniBang, writers will get to choose whether they want to create two 2,500 word stories or a single 3,000 word story.Big/mini bangs are noncompetitive events. Meaning, if you sign up, you can participate!It works like this: writers come up with a concept, draft a summary, and come up with tags for a fic. In an anonymous claim, artists list the pieces they want to create for. Artists and writers are then matched into groups/pairings. Then the creation starts!

As previously stated, the works in this event will center around Witch Hat Atelier. It can feature relationships (platonic or romantic), exploration of the world, alternate imaginings/universes, or whatever else you can come up with! Get creative!This is a sfw event. No works should feature explicit content. That means no incest, pedophilia, student-teacher relationships, sexual and/or underaged sexual content, non/dub con, etc. Use your own discretion.
